Palouse Trio performs beloved trios tonight

The WSU faculty group Palouse Trio returns to the stage to perform a program of beloved trios at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Bryan Hall Theatre, part of the School of Music’s Faculty Artist Series.

Faculty members Meredith Arksey violin, Ruth Boden cello, Jeffrey Savage piano, will perform three works: Joseph Haydn’s Trio No. 39 in G Major, nicknamed the “Gypsy” with its iconic Rondo a l’Ongarese, Enrique Arbόs’ “Three Pieces in the Spanish Style” and Felix Mendelssohn’s D Minor Trio.

Proceeds from ticket sales in the series benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets, on sale in the lobby one hour before performances, cost $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens (55+) and non-WSU students, and are free for WSU students with ID.
