April 19: Financial experts offer investment industry insights

PULLMAN, Wash. – Bryan Weeks (’85 finance), head of Americas Institutional business division at Russell Investments, russellinvestments.com, and Michael Thomas, Russell Investment’s managing director of fiduciary solutions-retirement, will offer students and the public investment industry insights and career information 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in Todd Hall 130 at Washington State University. A reception will follow in the Todd Atrium.

Weeks will present “Investment Industry Evolution and Career Opportunities,” and Thomas will present “Investment Myth Busters.”

Weeks has 25 years of experience in institutional investing, including strong capabilities in product innovation and business management. He rejoined Russell Investments in January 2017 after spending 12 years at Silver Creek Capital as president and CEO, where he helped lead the global expansion of institutional alternative investment assets from $2.8 billion to $7 billion.

Thomas focuses on creating solutions for Russell Investment’s largest retirement plan clients. During his 20+ years at Russell Investments, he has been the chief investment officer for Americas Institutional responsible for asset allocation and risk management, investment practice for alternatives and liability-driven investing.
