License WSU technologies with the click of a button

By Alyssa Patrick, Office of Commercialization

PULLMAN, Wash. – Research aids developed at Washington State University are more readily available to the researchers and companies that need them through an online store launched by WSU’s Office of Commercialization.

Called WSU Research Tools, the new store offers chemical probes developed by Ming Xian for the detection of sulfur. These are helpful for researchers looking to characterize and better understand redox signaling molecules.

More products are scheduled to be released this year, including books and digitally downloadable educational materials.

The products are available through express licensing, which allows multiple companies and researchers to make use of the same technology through a simple process. People interested in the technologies posted on WSU Research Tools simply click through and accept standard terms and fees instead of going through a negotiation process.

Express licensing allows for simple delivery of a WSU technology to the people and companies it will benefit. Once the express license is requested online, the product will be made available by download or will be shipped to the interested party.

Faculty researchers and scholars interested in making their technology available through WSU Research Tools can contact a technology licensing associate at the Office of Commercialization at https://commercialization.wsu.edu/Contacts/.
