PULLMAN, Wash. – Title IX and its impact on women and higher education in the United States will be discussed at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, in CUE 203 by a panel hosted by Washington State University’s common reading program.
The free, public discussion will feature Holly Ashkannejhad, WSU equal opportunity; Pamela Bradetich and Anne McCoy, WSU athletics, and Melynda Huskey, WSU student affairs.
Title IX of the U.S. Education Amendments of 1972 deals with eliminating gender discrimination in education programs and activities that benefit from federal financial assistance. This includes areas such as sexual harassment and equality in school sports.
