PULLMAN, Wash. – Applications and nominations for the 2017 Richard G. Law Excellence Award for Undergraduate Teaching will be accepted through 5 p.m. Friday, March 3. The recipient will be recognized at the Office of Undergraduate Education awards ceremony in April.
The award recognizes outstanding teaching in the University Common Requirements (UCORE) by instructors, clinical faculty and tenure-track faculty on all Washington State University campuses. Those whose teaching has included at least one UCORE class annually for the past three years are eligible.

The award is named in honor of retired administrator and faculty member Richard Law who served as director of general education from 1990 until his retirement in 2009.
The award recognizes educators who help undergraduates attain the WSU Learning Goals and Outcomes. These teachers inspire curiosity and understanding; their classes encourage students to develop the lifelong learning skills of integrating and synthesizing concepts to solve real problems.
