Faculty Senate affirms president’s letter on diversity

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Faculty Senate moved on Nov. 17 to support the Nov. 14 letter of President Kirk Schulz giving “unwavering support of diversity and inclusion” at Washington State University.

“Let me assure you – as your president, I will continue to show my strong support for students of color, undocumented students, women and members of the LGBTQ community,” the letter continued. “We are unconditionally committed to creating and maintaining a learning environment where all students – regardless of race, gender, religion or nationality – can learn in a safe environment conducive to success.”
