Life insurance action required; info session Dec. 13

PULLMAN, Wash. – Action is required by all PEBB-eligible employees participating in the Washington State University life insurance benefit by Dec. 16.

The Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB) has contracted with MetLife as the state’s life insurance carrier beginning Jan. 1. The change gives employees a one-time opportunity to enroll in or increase this insurance without having to provide a statement of health or go through medical underwriting.

While basic, supplemental and accidental death and dismemberment employee coverage will automatically transfer to MetLife, not all family coverage will; employees must take action if they wish to continue/update that coverage and to designate their beneficiaries with MetLife.

A presentation will be 2:30-4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in French Ad 139 and at non-Pullman locations via AMS videoconferencing at:
WSU Spokane (SAC 501)
WSU Tri-Cities (TWST 209)
WSU Vancouver
WSU West (Sea Mobile LifeSize Unit).

Seating will be on a first-come, first-seated basis. Additional site connections may be requested through AMS.Videoconference.Meeting@wsu.edu.
