Nov. 30 deadline to share election event information

campus-votePULLMAN, Wash. – Information about events held at Washington State University related to the Nov. 8 national election is being sought from all WSU campuses in an effort to earn national recognition for democratic engagement and voter awareness events.

The WSU system is registered for both the national NASPA Voter Friendly Campus designation and the Campus Vote Project’s All In Challenge. To be recognized, WSU must submit reports in January detailing efforts on each campus to engage students and increase voter turnout.

Please send event details by Wednesday, Nov. 30, to Erin McIlraith, WSU Center for Civic Engagement, at emcilraith@wsu.edu, including the event title, date, time, location, attendance, number of voters registered (if applicable) and other data collected. Those who submit event details will be provided with the final campus report as well as WSU voter data for the election cycle, once the information is available.
