PULLMAN, Wash. – Rediscover classic holiday songs and carols through the majestic sound of a brass ensemble when Presidio Brass performs at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in Jones Theatre at Washington State University.
Light seasonal fare from Birch & Barley, a cash bar with beer and wine and a raffle for a festive gift basket will be part of a pre-concert gathering at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby.
Reserved seating costs $18 adults, $15 seniors (ages 60+) and $9 non-WSU students and youth. WSU student admission is free with valid ID. A discounted rate of $14 per person is available to groups of eight or more.

Advance tickets are subject to convenience charges unless purchased at the Beasley Coliseum ticket office. The Daggy Hall box office opens for ticket sales and will-call beginning two hours before the performance.
Based in San Diego, Presidio Brass (http://www.presidiobrass.com/) combines a brass quintet, piano and percussion instruments with fresh, original arrangements to create a unique sound that has captivated audiences throughout the U.S. and as far away as China.

Since forming in 2006 with a mission to promote music education and music appreciation in youth, Presidio Brass has performed in more than 40 states, conducted master classes at many colleges and universities and been featured on National Public Radio.
The group has released four recordings: “Stolen Moments,” a collection of popular classical and jazz selections; “Christmas Day,” an assortment of well-loved holiday favorites; “Sounds of the Cinema,” which includes pieces from their signature stage performance of the same name; and “Rhapsody in Brass,” their latest release featuring popular American music influenced by classical and jazz idioms.
Individually, members of Presidio Brass have performed with major symphony orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony and San Diego Symphony, and shared the stage with artists like Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole and Quincy Jones.
When not on tour, Presidio Brass members continue to perform with orchestras, maintain private teaching studios at local universities, arrange and compose new music, assist with public school music programs, and operate an annual summer music camp for students of all ages.
Presidio Brass comprises Steve O’Connor and Miles McAllister on trumpet, Scott Sutherland on tuba and piano, and Josh Bledsoe and Geoff Durbin on trombone and euphonium.
Parking for this performance will be available without permits or fees in the Daggy Hall parking garage and in the Green 2 lot directly across the street from Daggy Hall.
