PULLMAN, Wash. – The U.S. Army Cadet Command recently recognized Samantha McNicholas as one of the top 10 cadets out of 5,508 seniors nationwide.
Criteria include academics, physical fitness, leadership and military and civilian extracurricular activities.
Originally from Vancouver, the Washington State University senior is majoring in civil engineering. After commissioning in May, she will begin active duty with the long-term goal of selection to the Army astronaut program.
