PULLMAN, Wash. – The Reduced Shakespeare Company will career through 600 years of history in 6,000 seconds when “The Complete History of America (abridged): Election Edition” comes to Washington State University at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, in Daggy Hall’s Jones Theatre.

Updated for this election year, the classic RSC show (https://vimeo.com/126536997) will hit historical highlights from Christopher Columbus to Neil Armstrong, George Washington to Barack Obama, and the Bering Strait to Baghdad. It’s a hilarious roller coaster ride through American history and, in the spirit of Shakespeare, contains some occasional bawdy language and mild innuendo.

Reserved seating costs $18 adults, $15 seniors (ages 60+) and $9 non-WSU students and youth. WSU student admission is free with valid ID. A discounted rate of $14 per person is available to groups of eight or more.

Tickets are on sale at TicketsWest outlets, including online at http://TicketsWest.com, by phone at 800-325-SEAT (7328) and in person at WSU’s Beasley Coliseum (open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday) and the Rosauers supermarket in Lewiston, Idaho. Advance tickets are subject to convenience charges except when purchased at the Beasley Coliseum ticket office. The Daggy Hall box office opens for ticket sales and will-call beginning two hours before the performance.

Since its pass-the-hat origins in 1981, the RSC (http://www.reducedshakespeare.com/) has created 10 stage shows, two television specials, several TV pilots and numerous radio pieces, all of which have been seen and heard the world over. RSC’s first three shows, “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged),” “The Complete History of America (abridged)” and “The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged),” ran for nine years at the Criterion Theatre in Piccadilly Circus as London’s longest-running comedies.

This performance is presented by WSU Performing Arts (http://performingarts.wsu.edu/) with support from Residence Inn by Marriott Pullman. Parking will be available without permits or fees in the Daggy Hall parking garage and in the Green 2 lot across the street from Daggy Hall.
