Registration, watch parties involve students in voting

cougs-vote-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – On Nov. 8, the U.S. will elect the next president. But 88 percent of Congress is also up for re-election as are many state offices.

The Center for Civic Engagement at Washington State University plans watch parties for the presidential debates, voter registration events, student debates and more. It also is offering 30- and 60-minute presentations about deadlines, requirements and other aspects of registration; in Washington, the online and mail-in voter registration deadline is Oct. 10.
