Sept. 28: Free webinar to explain three equine diseases

horsePULLMAN, Wash. – A free webinar for horse owners, veterinarians and veterinary technicians at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, will clear up the confusion surrounding three important neurologic diseases in horses.

Washington State University veterinarian and equine internal medicine specialist Jen Gold will discuss in detail West Nile virus (WNV), equine herpes virus-1 (EHV-1) and equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM).

All can cause neurologic disease in horses and they are often confusing. Gold will discuss biosecurity, vaccination, current WNV movements and recommendations for EPM.
