Student advisor earns award for commitment, engagement

HinshawVANCOUVER, Wash. – Nikki Hinshaw, student activities advisor in the Office of Student Involvement at Washington State University Vancouver, was awarded the campus’ annual Chancellor’s Award for Staff Excellence last week.

Her commitment to student development, investment in quality programs and can-do attitude make her an asset to the university, said colleagues.

“Nikki works with and engages students,” said Chancellor Mel Netzhammer. “This recognition of her efforts is well deserved.”

Hinshaw is responsible for advising the Associated Students of WSU Vancouver, student media organizations and the Student Ambassador Program. She is the driving force behind key events including Women of Distinction and the Student Leadership Recognition Program.
