Submit info on election-related events by July 22

cougs-vote-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – Departments, classes and student groups on all campuses are asked to send information about events or programs they plan related to the Nov. 8 national election for inclusion in Washington State University’s entries in national democratic engagement challenges. The deadline is Friday, July 22.

The WSU system is registered for both the NASPA Voter Friendly Campus designation and the Campus Vote Project’s All In Challenge. To be recognized, WSU must submit a campus plan outlining efforts on each WSU campus to engage students and increase voter turnout.

If your organization is planning an election event or program, please send details to Erin McIlraith, WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE), at emcilraith@wsu.edu by July 22. The event does not need to be finalized to be included; please share as much information as you have.

Relevant events and programs will be cross-promoted on the http://cce.wsu.edu/cougsvote website and in CCE social media. Groups that submit information will have access to Cougs Vote branded materials and will receive updates on the status of WSU’s applications for the two national designations.

For more information, contact Erin McIlraith at emcilraith@wsu.edu.
