Through Sept. 30: Nominations accepted for faculty awards

PULLMAN, Wash. – Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to submit nominations for 2016-17 faculty awards presented at the annual spring Showcase celebration of university excellence. The deadline is Friday, Sept. 30.

“I am seeking your support in nominating outstanding faculty members whose performance clearly distinguishes them from their colleagues for these university-level awards,” said Dan Bernardo, provost and executive vice president, in the call for nominations. The awards are designed to honor faculty who epitomize excellence in pursuit of the university’s mission and goals.

The awards include:

Eminent Faculty Award;

Sahlin Faculty Excellence Awards for
* Instruction;
* Leadership;
* Outreach and Engagement;
* Research, Scholarship and Arts;

Distinguished Faculty Address;

Faculty Diversity Award;

Outstanding Department Chair/School Director;

President’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Instructors and Clinical Faculty (previously the President’s Distinguished Teaching Award for Non-Tenure Track Faculty);

V. Lane Rawlins Distinguished Lifetime Service Award.
