design-research-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – Designs that make a building responsive and helpful to the people within will be on display this week in Carpenter 201 at Washington State University. An opening reception will be 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 25.

The spring studio for Integrated Design Research Adaptive Systems has focused on creating computer-based tools and techniques to incorporate into the architecture and interior design of buildings. In particular, the students have collaborated to create design solutions for adaptive and responsive systems in the design of a WSU visitor center in Spokane, Wash.

The spring studio is directed by WSU faculty members Mona Ghandi and Saleh Kalantari.
