April 14, 21, 27: Disability awareness activities set

Josh-BluePULLMAN, Wash. – The Access Center, which provides accommodations for disabled and other students at Washington State University, will host a film, information tables and comic speaker this month to raise disability awareness.

Grandin-filmApril 14: The film “Temple Grandin” will show for free at 7 p.m. in the Global Scholars Hall courtyard. Grandin is an American professor of animal science, world-renowned autism spokesperson and consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior.

April 21: Disability information tables will be in the CUB first floor.

April 27: Comedian Josh Blue will speak at 7 p.m. in the CUB ballroom; doors open at 6 p.m. He has cerebral palsy, and much of his self-deprecating humor is centered on this. Free for students; $10 for others.
