Feb. 29-March 1: Workshops explore LGBTQ+ identity

sarah-deragonPULLMAN, Wash. – Free workshops on identity, art and activism will be conducted by San Francisco photographer Sarah Deragon, who started the Identity Project in 2014 to explore the labels people choose when defining their gender and sexuality.

A group activity will have participants plan a public event that includes art and activism. It will be followed by pairs of participants interviewing each other about their identity. This workshop will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29, in the CUB junior ballroom at Washington State University.

At 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, Deragon will host 5-minute windows when she will take photo portraits of LGBTQ+ identified WSU community members and allies to be used in her Identity Project (http://www.identityprojectsf.com/).
