Two WSU faculty named AAAS fellows

Marsh,-left,-and-LambWASHINGTON – Brian K. Lamb and Thomas L. Marsh of Washington State University have been named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for their efforts to advance science and/or its applications.

This year, 347 members were awarded this honor.

Lamb, a Regents professor in civil and environmental engineering, was named for furthering understanding of biogenic emissions in air quality, including the Biogenic Emission Inventory System used worldwide. Learn more about Lamb at http://www.ce.wsu.edu/Faculty_Staff/Profiles/lamb.htm.

Marsh, professor in the School of Economic Sciences, was honored for contributions to agricultural economics, particularly using novel econometric approaches to define the risk of invasive species and transboundary livestock diseases.
