Photos: Overnight winds split trees, scatter shingles

PULLMAN, Wash. — Due to power outages caused by high winds overnight, Washington State University Pullman classes and non-essential services were suspended today until 1 p.m.

WSU and Avista repair crews worked through the morning to restore power and clean up fallen trees and debris.

Robert Hubner of WSU Photo Services took these photos this morning of damage – on campus and along its edges – from the wind storm.
