Oct. 19-22: Community can provide presidential search input

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University alumni, students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders are invited to provide input about the considerations important in selecting the university’s next president at a series of statewide community forums beginning Oct. 19.

Feedback will be shared with the Presidential Search Advisory Committee and others involved in the search process.

“Our goal is to ensure this search is well informed and that all WSU community members and stakeholders have an opportunity to share their thoughts,” said Mike Worthy, chair of the search advisory committee and a member of the WSU Board of Regents. “To that end, we are scheduling statewide listening sessions in Pullman, at our campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, WSU North Puget Sound in Everett, as well as in Seattle and in Bellevue.”

Forum attendees are asked to consider these topics:

  • Current and future opportunities for the next president
  • Challenges the president may face
  • Ways to measure the president’s success
