Sept. 26, 27: Flute professor featured with area symphony

AnnMarieYasinitskyPULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University flutist Ann Marie Yasinitsky will be featured soloist in the Nielsen “Flute Concerto” with the Washington Idaho Symphony at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Jones Theatre in Daggy Hall at WSU and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Clarkston High School auditorium.

A clinical associate professor at WSU and principal flutist with the symphony, Yasinitsky appears regularly in the region as a concerto soloist, recitalist, orchestral flutist and chamber musician. She has released a number of CD recordings and performed in concerts throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.

The program will also include Mendelssohn’s “Hebrides Overture” and Beethoven’s “Fourth Symphony.”
