PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Board of Regents on Friday approved a 25-member advisory committee to help in the search for WSU’s 11th president.
Board Chair Ryan Durkan reiterated the board’s goal to appoint a committee that is “manageable in size and includes members from a wide variety of backgrounds, expertise, and perspectives, including individuals from major university constituencies.”
“We have a lot of work in front of us, but I think we are really off to a great start,” Durkan said.
More information about the search for a successor to the late WSU President Elson S. Floyd, who died June 20, is available at www.presidentialsearch.wsu.edu.
In other business, the board approved construction of the WSU North Puget Sound at Everett Academic Building project. Groundbreaking for that building is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22.
