Sept. 10: WSU Tri-Cities hosts Volunteer Fair

RICHLAND, Wash. – More than 20 local nonprofit groups offering volunteer opportunities will network with the campus community at the Washington State University Tri-Cities Volunteer Fair 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, in the West Courtyard on campus.

“This provides our students and campus community the opportunity to explore the variety of volunteer experiences that Tri-Cities has to offer,” said Marisela Garza, assistant director of development at WSU Tri-Cities. “Those students learn valuable skills while giving back to the community.”

Students, faculty and staff will also be able to sign up for dates and times to volunteer to build the Coug House that WSU Tri-Cities and Tri-County Partners Habitat for Humanity are constructing, beginning in October.

The fair is put on by Cougs in the Community, a WSU Tri-Cities program that provides students, faculty, staff and community members with opportunities to give back to the region. For more information, contact Garza at 509-372-7207 or marisela.garza@tricity.wsu.edu.
