Aug. 26: Employees, students get time to remember Floyd

Floyd-E 2009 80PULLMAN, Wash. – A universitywide celebration of the life and legacy of President Elson S. Floyd will be 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, in Beasley Coliseum. It will be live streamed and viewable at Martin Stadium, the CUB Auditorium and on the Web.

Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP to http://president.wsu.edu/eflo/rsvp.html?_ga=1.79619028.116050098.1372109995.

Interim President Dan Bernardo has directed that faculty and staff should be afforded the opportunity to attend the event without taking annual leave. While classes will not be canceled, Bernardo asks instructors to do their best to provide students the opportunity to attend.

Floyd passed away June 20 after many faculty, staff and students were gone for the summer. The event was delayed to enable the entire university community to participate.
