Aug 21. deadline for Science Communication Workshop

The Center for Environmental Research Education and Outreach (CEREO) is seeking applications from WSU faculty interested in attending a two-day workshop (Oct 21-23, 2015) led by an expert team of environmental journalists and Nancy Baron, an award-winning writer and communications trainer.

This workshop will teach participants how to identify and disseminate key information arising from their research and professional activities.  Training will focus on framing and crafting messages for reporters, policymakers and the public, as well as teaching faculty how to navigate different kinds of interviews. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, peer feedback and receive individual coaching from workshop leaders to develop strategies for improving their communication skills.
