July 30: WSU Eggert Farm hosts Organic Field Day

Eggert farm-iconPULLMAN, Wash. – Learn about the latest organic agriculture research and hands-on teaching methods at the Organic Farm Field Day, Thursday, July 30, at Eggert Family Organic Farm on the Washington State University campus.

The event is free and open to the public. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Presentations by students working at the Eggert Farm, Farm Manager Brad Jaeckel, and WSU Faculty member Lynne Carpenter-Boggs follow at 8:30 a.m., with a tour of the farm afterwards.

Light refreshments will be served and visitors are welcome to visit the gardens.

WSU’s Organic Farm offers students the opportunity to earn university credit while working on an operational Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm. The farm produces more than 30 different vegetable crops as well as fruit, flowers and herbs from a 24-week harvest season.
