July 1: Research center hosts free science expo, lunch

PROSSER, Wash. – Research posters, presentations, awards and lunch will be presented free to the public 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Walter Clore Center, 2140 Wine Country Rd., to showcase research from the Washington State University Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Prosser (IAREC).

Undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and scientific assistants with research based out of IAREC are eligible to enter the poster/presentation competition. Poster title and affiliated authors can be emailed to amy.hill@wsu.edu by June 19.

IAREC’s focus is irrigated agriculture research. An estimated two-thirds of the agricultural production in the state comes from irrigated land.
