Mackey-webRICHLAND, Wash. – Jazz musician Wes Mackey will perform at Washington State University’s first Jazz and Wine Festival 7-9:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, on the Columbia Center Rotary Stage at WSU Tri-Cities, 2710 Crimson Way, Richland.

Wine and food will be available for purchase around the stage area as Mackey plays. For more information, visit http://tricities.wsu.edu/jazzandwine/home.

Mackey, who has toured the world during more than 50 years of performing, will also hold a free, public lecture and clinic 1-2:30 p.m. in the WSU Tri-Cities East Auditorium.

He went from working the “dusty honky tonks” of Georgia to performing in five-star venues. As a soloist or bandmaster, his dynamic stage presence and uplifting performances have made him a favorite in Europe. His last Tri-Cities performance sold out.
