PULLMAN, Wash. – About 300 fifth- through eighth-grade gifted students from the Spokane, Wash., school district Odyssey program are getting a taste of college this week during a three-day field trip at Washington State University.

Odyssey Kids_0814They are experiencing classes in cheese making, astronomy, veterinary anatomy, Shakespeare and much more. They will visit WSU museums and the visitor center and participate in a library scavenger hunt. They will practice registering for classes, staying in a residence hall, eating at a dining center and navigating their way around campus.
