PULLMAN, Wash. – Six critical ingredients of the college experience that have a profound link to life wellbeing and work engagement will be presented in a simulcast for faculty, staff and advisors at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, in CUE 202.
The First Scholars program, which supports first-generation students at Washington State University, will host the talk by Shane J. Lopez, Gallup Student Poll scientist and author of “Making Hope Happen.”
The presentation, “Higher Education’s Six Sigma,” is a keynote address at the Kansas State University/National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Summer Undergraduate Academic Advising Institute. Lopez is research director of the Clifton Strengths Institute. He researches and collaborates with other scholars about the links between hope, strengths development, academic success and overall wellbeing.
