More than 3,000 WSU grads receive diplomas in Pullman

Commencement LogoPULLMAN, Wash. – Family members and friends Saturday packed into Washington State University’s Beasley Coliseum, where more than 3,000 graduating students received diplomas during the university’s 119th spring commencement ceremonies.

WSU President Elson S. Floyd spoke briefly before conferring degrees to graduates in three separate commencement ceremonies. In all, 3,025 degrees were awarded to graduating students, including 111 doctoral degrees, 190 master’s degrees and 2,724 undergraduate degrees.

“As president of Washington State University, I would like to welcome the largest graduating class in fifteen years to the 119th spring commencement ceremony, and the 125th anniversary of Washington State University,” Floyd said. “This truly is a historic occasion.”

The commencements were videostreamed live at http://www.experience.wsu.edu, where the video will remain archived for viewing.
