PULLMAN, Wash. – A two-day seminar on acceptance and commitment therapy will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday-Friday, March 5-6, in Ensminger Pavilion at Washington State University.
Hosted by the WSU Center for Transformational Learning and Leadership, the seminar costs $65 for students and $175 for others. It is open to individuals interested in personal growth as well to clinicians and therapists seeking to further their professional skills.
ACT therapy is an acceptance-oriented treatment that helps people work through common stresses. The seminar will look at how the therapy works with thinking patterns, using acceptance, defusion and mindfulness interventions.
