“I feel strongly that there is a need to discuss and free the existing sociopolitical structures,” said curator Madison Rosenbaum, WSU Tri-Cities senior and exhibition curator. “Through creative conversation, we as artists can help raise awareness and provide an open space to discuss the impact these issues have on community, national and global levels.”

“This is a great opportunity for artists that use their art to try to change our community,” said Doug Gast, associate professor of fine arts at WSU Tri-Cities. “The exhibition will undoubtedly ask people to think critically about the world around them.”

Submissions should include 3-5 images of original art, contact information and an artist statement. There is no submission fee. All media will be considered including flat work, sculpture, video, writing, music and live performance.
