Wellness incentive helps PEBB employees save $125

health-incentive-logoPULLMAN, Wash. – Eligible Washington State University employees enrolled in a health insurance plan can earn a $125 wellness incentive through the SmartHealth program where they accumulate points by keeping track of activities.

Employees enrolled in a PEBB medical plan, and not enrolled in Medicare, are eligible to participate in SmartHealth 2015. They have until June 30 to earn the 2,000 points required to qualify for the 2016 incentive.

To join the program:

1) Log in to http://www.smarthealth.hca.wa.gov to create an account. Or phone the SmartHealth Customer Service Line 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday at 1-855-750-8866.

2) Take the wellbeing assessment. This will earn 800 points, with a 100-point bonus if completed by March 31.

3) Participate in activities listed on the SmartHealth website and track progress toward personal wellness goals. New activities will be added throughout the year.

Participants of the Classic or Value plans can receive $125 off their medical plan deductible in 2016.  Those enrolled in a Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) can receive a one-time $125 deposit into their Health Savings Account (HSA).

All information provided will remain confidential. Activity tracking can be synced to smart devices. Spouses and registered domestic partners can participate; however, only the subscriber can earn the incentive.
