SYDNEY – A Washington State University alumnus is being hailed as a hero after he died trying to wrest a shotgun from the gunman in the Sydney, Australia, siege Monday and Tuesday.
Tori Johnson, 34, manager of the café where hostages were held, graduated from WSU in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in hotel and restaurant administration.
