Dan Fagerlie, WSU Extension tribal relations liaison regional specialist, and Linda McLean, WSU Colville Reservation Extension director, traveled to Washington, D.C., to receive the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture Partnership Award for Effective and Efficient Use of Resources.

“This recognizes a model that has worked, and lessons learned, that could hopefully be used elsewhere to bring research-based information to help people and communities in Indian Country,” Fagerlie said. “This is a highlight of my 34 years of working with the Colville Confederated Tribes, Tribal Extension Advisory Committee and residents of the Colville Reservation.”

Fagerlie and McLean represented their team of Charlie Moses, Gary Kohler, Barb Herman, James McCuen, Robert Compton, Storey Neal and Kayla Wells at the ceremony.
