Dec. 16, 17: Wheat Academy offers hands-on learning

wheat-academy-80PULLMAN, Wash. – Wheat growers and crop consultants are invited to the inaugural WSU Extension Wheat Academy Dec. 16 and 17 at Washington State University Pullman.

Registration costs $100 and is limited to the first 60 registrants. The fee covers parking, two lunches, a catered social hour and light refreshments. The deadline to register is Dec 5. Visit http://smallgrains.wsu.edu/wheat-academy for more information.

Experts from WSU, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Oregon State University and more will lead intensive, 75-minute sessions of comprehensive, hands-on learning about soil quality, herbicides and pest and micronutrient management.

Washington and Idaho pesticide recertification credits and certified crop advisor credits will be available.
