Oct. 15: WSU, EWU students host legislative candidate forum

candidate-forumSPOKANE, Wash. – A free, public, legislative candidate forum will be 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, in the Nursing Building, Room 105, at Washington State University Spokane. Coffee and refreshments will be served 4:30-5 p.m.

Hosted by the Associated Students of WSU Spokane and the Associated Students of Eastern Washington University, the forum will be simulcast to the JFK Auditorium at EWU in Cheney, Wash.

Confirmed candidates include Michael Baumgartner, Donald Dover, Marcus Riccelli and Ziggy Siegfried.

They will be asked about issues including the prospects for a WSU medical school, higher education funding in the wake of the McCleary K-12 funding decision, tuition freezes in the 2015-17 budget, higher education affordability and more.
