PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University offers inexpensive apples and the opportunity to pick them right off of the tree every Friday and Saturday in October.
The WSU Fruit Sale takes place at Tukey Orchard, at the intersection of Terre View Drive and Airport Road, noon-6 p.m Fridays and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays.
The orchard has Golden and Red Delicious and Rome varieties for “U-Pick” apples, plus a few dozen other varieties of pre-picked apples and pears.
The orchard will continue to sell pre-picked fruit through November and on a few dates in December and January.
