leadership-logo-230PULLMAN, Wash. – More than 350 students are registered for the Cougar Leadership Conference, where a national speaker will motivate them to lead not with words but with action.

The all-day event will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, in CUE 203. Registration is free for WSU students and $25 for others. Register at https://orgsync.com/36888/forms/43476. Learn more at http://studentinvolvement.wsu.edu/leadership/cougar-leadership-conference/.

Lunch and gifts will be provided. Student Involvement also will give away a semester’s worth of textbooks to one student who attends.

Keynote motivational speaker Justin Jones-Fosu uses personal examples to encourage leaders to make an impact on others.

“We want to express to our students that it isn’t about ‘talking the talk;’ you have to be conscious of your actions to really make an impact on others,” said Tamara Crooks, Student Involvement leadership coordinator.
