RICHLAND, Wash. – Teachers can learn how to earn their professional certification at two information meetings at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
Individuals who hold a Washington residency certificate, have taught a minimum of two years and have accumulated at least 1.5 FTE could be eligible to work on professional certification, said Maria Moscatelli, director of field services for the College of Education program at WSUTC. To verify eligibility, visit http://www.proteach.org.
The ProTeach information sessions will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, in the West Building, Room 240, on the WSUTC campus, 2710 Crimson Way, Richland. No RSVP is needed.
Teachers who have been enrolled in WSUTC’s ProTeach support program consistently score higher than those enrolled in other support programs around the state: http://assessment.pesb.wa.gov/assessments/proteach/results/support.
