At least four WSU football games to be televised

football-90pWALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Four Washington State University 2014 football games have been chosen in the Pac-12 Conference’s early television selections.

The Cougars will open their season Aug. 28 hosting Rutgers University in CenturyLink Field in Seattle. The game will be televised by FOX Sports 1 with a 7 p.m. kickoff.

WSU travels to Nevada for a Sept. 5 game to be televised by ESPN at 7:30 p.m.

WSU makes its 2014 Martin Stadium debut Sept. 13 against Portland State. That contest will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks with a 5 p.m. start time.

The Stanford game, Oct. 10 at Stanford, will be on ESPN with a 6 p.m. kickoff.

The 2014 Apple Cup will be played Nov. 29 at Martin Stadium with time and television selection to be made in mid-November.

Television selections for the first three weeks of the 2014 season have been made, as well as Thursday and Friday games throughout the season. Remaining television game selections and start times will be made 12 or six days before each game.

ESPN will televise on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ABC, while FOX will air its games on FOX or FOX Sports 1 and simulcast several games on FOX Deportes. FOX will carry the Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 5.
