WSU to conduct Coug Alert system test April 9

PULLMAN, Wash. -The Washington State University Office of Emergency Management will conduct the spring semester test of the Coug Alert system on the Pullman campus at 12:05 p.m. on April 9th.

Faculty, staff and students associated with the Pullman campus who have signed up for notification will receive text messages, phone calls, and emails which will be clearly identified as a test. This test will also include the @WSUAlert twitter account and the campus outdoor warning sirens.

Washington State University places the safety and security of its students, employees, and visitors as its highest priority. WSU has developed the CougAlert! System to disseminate official information via email, text messages, telephone, loudspeakers, Alert Website, and other means to keep the campus community informed during emergencies and situations that might disrupt normal operations.
