Jan. 28: Banff films bring intense action, exhilaration

film-fest-title-200PULLMAN, Wash. – Adventure, action and environmental films will be shown from the Banff Mountain Film Festival at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, in the CUB auditorium.

Also, winners from the University Recreation outdoor photography contest will be announced and the final vote will be taken for the People’s Choice winner. 

film-fest-ski-550Tickets are first come, first served and will be for sale at about 6:30 p.m. Admission is free for Washington State University students and Student Recreation Center members and $10 (cash or check) for others.

With stops planned in about 400 communities and 40 countries across the globe, the festival’s traveling show features exotic landscapes, remote cultures and up-close interaction with adrenaline-packed sports.

Banff-film-fest-cliff-550From approximately 350 films entered in the annual festival, award-winners and audience favorites are among those chosen to travel the globe and brought to WSU by UREC.
