Alumnus elected vice president of state science academy

jerde-80MOREHEAD, Ky. – Washington State University alumnus Eric Jerde has been elected vice president of the Kentucky Academy of Sciences.

His research interests include the geology of the moon and atmospheric science related to climate change. He is associate professor of geology at Morehead State University in Kentucky.

He earned his master’s degree in structural geology from Washington State University. He holds a Ph.D. in geology with an emphasis in geochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles.
