PULLMAN, Wash. – A new faculty vocal ensemble, Cantiamo!, will perform “Many Moods of Mozart” at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in Bryan Hall at Washington State University.

Several well-known sacred works, secular nocturnes and earthy canons will be presented, as well as arias and scenes from Mozart operas.

The concert is part of the Faculty Artist Series; proceeds support the School of Music scholarship fund.

Tickets will be available in the lobby30 minutes before the performance. The concert is free for WSU students with ID, $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors 60 and older and non-WSU students.

The ensemble is comprised of Julie Anne Wieck (soprano), Lori Wiest (mezzo-soprano), Sheila Kearney Converse (mezzo-soprano), Brian Carter (tenor) and Dean Luethi (baritone).

Accompanying the ensemble will be Elena Panchenko on piano and organ. A trio of clarinets – played by Shannon Scott, Melissa Rice Perez and Meredith Heinzmann – and a string quartet – consisting of Meredith Arksey, Ruth Boden, Inga Kingsley and Becky Miller – will perform.
