SEATTLE – Eric Spangenberg, dean of Washington State University’s College of Business, will host the college’s Fifth Annual Dean’s Leadership Celebration on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Seattle Fairmont Olympic Hotel. WSU alumni, Pacific Northwest business leaders and the public are invited.

The event will include a reception and silent auction at 5 p.m., and a dinner, program and live auction at 7 p.m. Tickets are $175 per person; guests may register at http://go.wsu.edu/DLC until Nov. 19.

Sponsored by Silver Creek Capital Management and Slalom Consulting, this year’s celebration will raise support for the college’s Carson Center for Student Success. The center houses academic advising, careers and involvement, international experience and scholarships in one convenient location serving more than 1,800 undergraduate students per semester.

Live auction items will include an exclusive dinner by Executive Chef Jamie Callison of the WSU School of Hospitality Business Management and Executive Chef Thomas Horner of the Seattle Marriott Waterfront Hotel with select wine pairings and gourmet cuisine; “Starry Night, Version Washington State University in Pullman,” a canvas print of the WSU campus by Avimanyu “Avi” Datta (’11); a 12-person private suite watching the Cougars take on Rutgers at Seattle’s CenturyLink Field; a one-day high-performance driving education course with Porsche Club of Americas at the Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Wash., and several hotel packages, including a week in Cabo San Lucas at the Hacienda del Mar Vacation Club.

Spangenberg will present the annual Dean’s Leadership Award recognizing outstanding dedication to and advocacy for the college.

“As the college’s biggest fundraising event of the year, the annual Dean’s Leadership Celebration helps us maintain our standards of excellence and reach our campaign goal,” said Justin Marquart, senior director of development and college relations.

Such events move the college closer to its goal of raising $75 million as part of the Campaign for Washington State University’s $1 billion effort to position the university as one of the leading land-grant institutions in the nation.
