Frandles-200PULLMAN, Wash. – As married graduate students at Washington State University in the 1970s, Kyle and Kathy Frandle struggled to make ends meet.

So they started a scholarship to help young couples like them. The Frandle Family Scholarship is awarded to veterinary students at WSU who are married students or in a committed relationship and have a financial need.

A California veterinarian, Kyle also supports WSU’s efforts to fight rabies worldwide. And he returns to the vet school annually to help with the Diagnostic Challenges – case-based exercises that help students take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world challenges.
